All payments should be made by credit or debit card with minimum deposit of £25.00 to secure a booking. Full payment is required within 1 week of collection date, any refund of deposit or pre-payment will be entirely at the discretion of management.
- Driving Licence. (Issued by the DVLA showing current / valid address and held for at least 1 year - between the ages of 25 to 70).
- Recent utility bill or Bank statement with the address that corresponds with that on the driver’s licence.
- Please visit https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence in order to view or share driving licence information for the purposes of self-drive hire and Insurance. Simply enter your details and click 'View now'. Go to Tab 4 (Share your Licence Information) and click 'Get a code'. Under the 8 digit code click 'print or share driving summary'. Alternatively call the DVLA 09061 393837 / 0300 083 0013.

All vehicles commence the hire period with a full tank of fuel and presented in a clean condition. The hirer must return the vehicle with a full tank and present a corresponding fuel receipt. Please note: a charge may be applied if cleaning or refuelling is required on its return.
Fixed penalty points
The hirer is responsible for any fixed penalty fines enforced during the hire period. Please note a minimum £15 admin charge will be levied on any statutory charge.
Any goods transported by the hirer would not be covered by our Insurance if damaged / lost.
The rental charge always includes VAT and Insurance, however the hirer is responsible for the first £500 excess on all vehicles (Including any third party claim). A collision damage waiver is available to reduce the Insurance excess to £100. If the hirer does not wish to purchase the waiver, they will be required to leave a £500 deposit which will be fully refunded on return of the vehicle undamaged and refuelled. N.B. overhead damage, Internal damage, tyre damage, missing Radios and accessories (Including spare tyre) are not covered by any type of Insurance or collision damage waiver, so remains the full responsibility of the hirer. Please note, banks average approximately 5 days to release the £100 / £500 Pre-Authorisation.
All vehicles must be returned during our normal business hours (No out of hours drop service available) - 08.00 till 17.00 Monday to Friday and 08.00 till 12.00 on Saturday.
Please note: van / minibus speed limits are lower than car speed limits: Motorways: 70mph, Dual carriageways: 60mph, Single carriageways: 50mph & Built up areas: 30mph.
The Hirer and, if you are not the Hirer, consent to your personal information (including name, address, photo and drivers licence details) and information concerning the Hirer and the hire of the vehicle under this Duncan Hire Ltd rental agreement (including details as to payment record, credit worthiness, accidents or claims or theft or damage to the vehicle, delays in vehicle return, threatening or abusive behaviour and any other relevant information) being shared with other vehicle rental companies, suppliers to such companies and the police and other regulatory authorities, insurers and credit reference agencies, for the purposes of crime detection, risk management and assessing whether or not others may wish to hire a vehicle to you.
